ARSANA VOCAL SUMMER SCHOOL

The Arsana Vocal School, in partnership with the Karol Pahor Music School Ptuj, is proud to present the return of its traditional Summer Vocal School. Led by the acclaimed singer and vocal pedagogue Barbara Vauda, the program offers a masterclass in modern, holistic vocal training. Under her expert guidance, young vocalists are encouraged to explore a diverse range of musical genres while cultivating their own unique and authentic artistic voice.

This week of intensive growth will culminate in a spectacular full-length concert, where these rising stars will showcase their progress through a curated selection of solo and ensemble performances. Supported by professional piano accompaniment, the evening promises to be a vibrant celebration of the next generation of vocal talent.

Prepare for an evening of virtuosity as three world-renowned soloists take the stage. Diego Caetano, a pianist of exceptional caliber, has graced the world’s leading festivals and claimed top honors in over fifty international competitions. An influential educator and Artistic Director of Spain’s Ávila International Music Festival, his performances are defined by a mastery that has captivated audiences globally.

Joining him is the brilliant Japanese saxophonist Misato Hanawa, celebrated for her rare combination of “brilliance and maturity.” With a repertoire that spans from the intricacies of the Baroque era to the boldest contemporary works, she is a sought-after soloist with premier orchestras and a frequent guest at prestigious international festivals.

Completing this stellar lineup is Slovenian flutist Lana Kuščer, a visionary artist whose career has taken her from the legendary stages of Carnegie Hall and Boston Symphony Hall to major venues across Asia and Brazil. Renowned for her award-winning recordings and her mastery of both chamber and contemporary music, she remains one of the most compelling voices on the international flute scene.
